SCHEDULE 2024-2025
Ballet 1
This class is geared for the 3 –4-year-old student and meets once weekly. This class introduces the student the foundations of ballet positions and creative movement and is also known as pre-ballet. This class aims to develop the student’s musicality, flexibility, coordination, and strength. The young dancer develops their skills through imaginative and engaging class exercises. Students in this class will learn choreography for the school’s annual performance.
Ballet 2
This class is geared for the 5 –6-year-old student and incorporates stretching, meeting once weekly. This class is intended to improve the student’s coordination, balance, and flexibility by teaching basic ballet positions, steps, terminology, center work, and traveling steps across the floor. Students in this class will learn choreography for the school’s annual performance.
Ballet 3
This class is geared for the 7 –9-year-old and incorporates stretching, meeting twice weekly. This class focuses on improving the student’s body alignment, strength, flexibility, and musicality. The student continues to develop their classical ballet training by learning more complex ballet steps and exercises. Students in this class will learn choreography for the school’s annual performance.
Ballet 4
This class is geared for students 8+ and meets twice weekly. Prior dance experience is required. Through the execution of barre work, center work, and traveling combinations across the floor, this class focuses on intermediate terminology and technique, and incorporates stretching. By the end of the year, the student should have a clear understanding of their body’s alignment, execution, flexibility, posture, and ballet terminology. Students in this class will learn choreography for the school’s annual performance.
Ballet 5
This class meets three times weekly, at a minimum. Level 5 focuses on classical ballet technique through a professional teaching method. It is ideal that the student begins pointe work at this level, therefore the student must have adequate core and ankle strength. Students in this level are required to take at least one Progressive Ballet Technique (PBT) class per week. Students in this class will learn choreography for the school’s annual performance.
Ballet 6 Technique & Pointe
Level 6 requires, on average, at least four years of prior ballet experience and two years of pointe work. It is required that students in this level attend ballet at least three times weekly, with five times weekly being ideal for optimal improvement. Students in this level are required to take a Progressive Ballet Technique (PBT) class and a Pilates Matwork class per week. Students in this class will learn choreography for the school’s annual performance.

Level 6 will learn ballet variations, which are short dances from full-length ballets including solos, duets, and group works. The mastery of a dancer’s ballet technique and expression are key to performing a well-executed variation. Learning classical ballet variations are important for a ballet dancer’s repertoire and education. Students in this class will learn choreography for the school’s annual performance.
Ballet 7 Technique & Pointe
Level 7 requires, on average, at least four years of prior ballet experience and two years of pointe work. Pilates Matwork
This class is a Pilates training practice that is performed on a mat. In this class, individuals will focus on core-based movements and low-impact strength training exercises to strengthen their intrinsic muscles.
Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT)
Progressing Ballet Technique is an innovative program where dancers focus on their stability with the use of an exercise ball. PBT is designed to help dancers improve their technique, flexibility, and longevity in dance while gaining a greater awareness of their muscles. This class will be taught by certified PBT trainers. Required for levels 5 -7.
Ballet Technique for Adults
This class is designed for the adult or teen ballet beginner, as well as for those wishing to return to their ballet training. This class focuses on exercises, techniques, and steps of classical ballet with an emphasis on terminology and correcting body alignment.
Cardio Barre
This is an upbeat, high-energy barre class combining traditional, lightweight ballet barre exercises with non-stop metabolic movements. Tiny, pulsing movements are executed in this class to strengthen the muscles in the legs, thighs, and glutes.
Flamenco 2 –4
This class introduces ballet students to the traditional Spanish dance of Flamenco and combines classical Spanish dance with folkloric traditions. Students will learn the basic foundations of flamenco by identifying rhythms, handclapping, percussive footwork, intricate arm and handwork, and highly expressive dancing.Students in this class will learn choreography for the school’s annual performance.
Flamenco 5
This class builds upon students’ earlier flamenco instruction with more advanced steps and choreography. Students will continue studying the traditional Spanish dance of Flamenco, by combining classical Spanish dance with folkloric traditions and contemporary dance. Students in this class will learn choreography for the school’s annual performance.
Jazz & Tap Levels 2 –3
This class introduces young ballet students to both jazz and tap in one dance class. This class is geared to expose the young student to different dance styles in an engaging class. This up-beat class develops the student’s basic jazz & tap skills, with syncopated rhythms, body isolations, and a repertoire of standard technical and expressive movements.Students in this class will learn choreography for the school’s annual performance.
Jazz & Acro Levels 3 –4
This class introduces young ballet students to both jazz and acro in one dance class. Jazz focuses on strength building, flexibility, technique, and character expression. Students will be exposed to Broadway, Latin, and contemporaryjazz dance styles and trends. Acro is an acrobatic dance class, with a strong emphasis on flexibility, which compliments jazz dancing. Acro technique includes balancing, limbering, tumbling, and partnering based on a student’s flexibility, contortion, andstrength.Students in this class will learn choreography for the school’s annual performance.

This up-beat class builds upon a level 5 student’s jazz repertoire. Jazz focuses on strength building, flexibility, technique, and character expression. Students will be exposed to Broadway, Latin, and contemporary jazz dance styles and trends.Students in this class will learn choreography for the school’s annual performance.
Jazz 6
This up-beat class builds upon a level 6 student’s jazz repertoire. Jazzfocuses on strength building, flexibility, technique, and character expression. Jazz 7

Tap 5 -7
This is an intermediate level tap class for ballet students. Students in this class will work on both classic and modern tap dancing, building upon prior instruction. Students in this class will learn choreography for the school’s annual performance.
Acro & Contemporary 5
This is a combined class exposing level 5 students to both acro and contemporary. Acro benefits and blends into contemporary dance. Contemporary dance is a style of interpretive dance that embraces innovation and creativity. Acro is an acrobatic dance class, with a strong emphasis on flexibility. Acro technique includes balancing, limbering, tumbling, and partnering based on a student’s flexibility, contortion, and strength.Students in this class will learn choreography for the school’s annual performance.
Contemporary 6
This class is designed for the level 6 student. Contemporary dance is a style of interpretive dance that embraces innovation and creativity. Acro levels 6 –7
This is an advanced acro class designedfor students in levels 6 & 7. Students’ will improve their flexibility and prior skills by learning challenging and advanced acro techniques, poses, and partnering exercises. Students in this class will learn choreography for the school’s annual performance.
